When it all goes...

When it all goes wrong, it still seems right,
thoughts, pictures, dreams of you all night.

When it all goes right, it still seems wrong,
I'm messed up inside, singing my little song.

When it all goes up, I'm still falling,
out of control, with nothing to lose,

... jsut whipped this up. I enjoy free writing then refining it into something workable. I just let my mind go and put it down on paper.

School starts Monday... Fraternity RUSH started today... and I'm keeping busy.

A Trail of Broken Hearts

Well, this isn't any of the stuff that I have been working on... but the idea has been in my head for about 18 months. I just finally got it down on paper... well screen, lol. A friend of mine wanted to date me at the beginning of last summer, she was moving home, and I knew it wouldnt work. (I was drunk at this point...) But I told her that my life is a trail of broken hearts, with mine at the front of the line. I didn't want her to be just another broken heart of my past. We're still friends tho, and thats a great thing.

My life is filled with broken hearts
It’s a line that follows me around.
Sometimes they’re just chipped
Others are dented and scuffed.

Each one has its own story to tell

Some frayed, the edges tattered
A few are bruised and battered.

But they’ve all hurt the same,
Because of love… or rather fame…
One of them always stands at the front of the line,
Punished just because its mine…

Well kids... looks like the vacation is over... I didnt get to this yesterday cause... well cause i was lazy.

The vacation was a ton of fun. Went to Cincinnati late Friday night, and stayed on the Northside at a hotel (cheap *AND* clean) met up with some friends who were already there and then crashed after the long drive... Saturday was a blast, nothing to do except eat, shop and goof off!!! I went to the concert Saturday night and after that went out to the bar... Here's where it gets fun... The fraternity was having its annual National Convention at the University of Cincy, and Saturday was the only night they were allowed to go out and drink, and the bar they chose to drink at saturday night, was the same bar, right across the street from the concert hall. So I left the drunken concert, for the drunken bar, that was full with wall to wall fraternity brothers from all over the world. I met a ton of fun new people, and had a great time.

Well, I have to get back to work, and actually do something...

No new work, but a little update on life in general

So, its been a little too long since my last update and i haven't dont anything more constructive with the site lately other than try to update some links. Work has been a bit hectic, and life is getting there too. The fraternity starts RUSH (new member recruitment drive) in about 2 1/2 weeks and we are gearing up for that. This weekend is promising to be a vacation from the norm. I get to go see some friends i havent seen in almost a year, spend 2 whole days (OMG!!!!!) away from work and the "armpit of america" and i am looking forward to it.

I have been working on a few pieces lately, but there is a LOT of polishing that needs to be done befre i even consider posting them... their a bit TOO raw right now. Also the fact that I haven't been in the best of moods tends to color my poetry, and these recent works are no exception to that rule. I view myself as somewhere between Shakespeare and Poe. The dark and brooding moods of Poe, coupled with Shakespeare and his endless search for the PERFECT romance. A depressed hopeless romantic... wow what a combo, lol.
